Thanks to SF Gate for sharing the news that yet another retailer has closed down in the San Francisco Centre mall, formerly the Westfield San Francisco Centre, located at 865 Market St.

Teen brand Hollister, sister company to Abercrombie & Fitch, has closed its only San Francisco store. The store quietly closed shop last month, but as of Tuesday, January 9, 2024, the store’s signage has been removed and there’s a lock on the door. Unlike Adidas’s upcoming closure, the store did not host a massive closeout sale. Merchandise was moved to their store in the Westfield Oakridge Mall.

You can still find Hollister around the Bay in Serramonte Mall in Daly City, Hillsdale in San Mateo, Sunvalley mall in Concord, Newpark mall in Newark, Valley Fair in Santa Clara, and more. Hollister Store Locator

Sadly, the San Francisco Centre has been losing major tenants for months now including its anchor tenant Nordstrom which closed in August 2023, plus the Cinemark movie theatre, and most recently the Lego Store and Adidas. Even Westfield, the shopping center’s former operator, left in June, citing “challenging operating conditions.” according to KRON4.
