Filipino Fast Food Chain Jollibee Returning to SF

SF welcomes back Jollibee, the “McDonald’s of the Philippines”

San Francisco will once again have a Jollibee, the world famous fast food chain that hails from the Philippines. Its previous SF location, near Moscone Center, closed in 2011.

With roughly 1,300 restaurants worldwide and over 40 in the US, the chain is famous for its unique comfort food favorites, like its “Chickenjoy,” its specialty fried chicken, their Palabok Fiesta, a traditional garlic noodle dish with crushed pork rind, shrimp, and egg, “Jolly Spaghetti,” and its desserts like Peach Mango hand pie and Halo Halo.

Thanks to SF Chronicle for sharing the news that Jollibee is making its delicious return to The City at the former Payless store location at 934 Market Street next door to Carl’s Jr. and right across the street from Powel St. BART station. but an opening date has yet to be announced.
