SF’s own one-day version of the Tour de France with all day bike races through the narrow streets on Labor Day Monday

Il Giro di San Francisco (formerly the “San Francisco Gran Prix”) is an annual bike race around the streets of San Francisco that’s had competitors cruising around the city since 1975.

Free for spectators to come and watch, check out the 2011 route map to stake out your spot for these all day races on Labor Day 2011.

Races begin at 8 a.m. with the women’s race and take place all day until the final pro race at 3 p.m., so whether you’re riding your Shimano or just on the sidelines, come out and see this cycling race by San Francisco’s waterfront.
