Thanks to Eater SF for sharing the sad news that Magnolia Brewing is closing its Dogpatch location, located at 2505 3rd St, San Francisco.

The Brewery took to Instagram to announce its departure. They cite COVID as a factor in their decision to close, plus Eater notes that they had been tipped off that the brewery’s rent was also set to raise and the landlord already has a new tenant in mind.

Magnolia opened its second brewery in the Dogpatch neighborhood in 2013 with a 30-barrel brewery, which enabled it to expand its distribution footprint throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Since then, Magnolia had expanded its Dogpatch location further with a beer garden, and adjoining private events space, known as Magnolia Hall and continued to growing its brewing programs and experimentations in the Dogpatch.

Sunday, February 20 will be their last day open in Dogpatch if you’d like to stop in for one last drink.

Thankfully, its original Haight-Ashbury location remains open.
