Memorial Day Parade

Honor our fallen at annual Presidio Memorial Day commemoration

Join veterans, families, and the community for the annual Memorial Day commemoration at the Presidio. The formal program includes music and remarks by military and civilian dignitaries.

After the ceremony, tours of the National Cemetery will be provided by National Park Service rangers and docents.

The 2014 ceremony will pay tribute to Vietnam Veterans. The annual commemoration begins with a parade of the 191st Army Band, veterans’ organizations and distinguished guests. The parade starts at 10:30 am at the Main Post (near Sheridan and Lincoln Blvd.), and ends at the San Francisco National Cemetery. At noon, a 21-gun salute by the U.S. Army’s 75th Pacific Division signals the end of the program.

The Presidio Chapel will be open for prayer & meditation from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

Special Event Shuttle
A free special shuttle service will be provided from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm to serve Memorial Day visitors attending the ceremony at San Francisco National Cemetery. The shuttle will operate on a continuous loop between the Main Post (near the corner of Graham Street and Sheridan) and National Cemetery.
