Mission Queer Bar “Jolene’s” Reopens After 1 Year

One of the last remaining lesbian bars in the country has just reopened after being shut for over a year.

Thanks to NBC News for sharing that Jolene’s, one of only two lesbian bars in California, and just one of the last remaining 16 lesbian bars across the country, down from approximately 200 in the ’80s.

Jolene’s hosts its Grand Reopening this weekend (April 9-11, 2021), Friday and Saturday from 6-11pm, and Sunday Brunch from 11am to 4pm.

Jolene’s is located at 2700 16th Street at Harrison in San Francisco.

They’ll be open with limited capacity; masks are mandatory.
