In 2016, the National Park Service (NPS) is turning 100.

This fall, NPS is kicking off the centennial celebration by taking pictures across the country of our nation’s most beloved parks starring park enthusiasts like you. NPS will represent San Francisco with an amazing aerial photo with the historic Golden Gate Bridge as the background.

National Park Service’s “Capturing 100”
November 14, 2015 | 11 am
Crissy Field, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, SF
Free, but an RSVP is requested to help plan for the formation of the “100” sign

Wear your brightest “Golden Gate” red or orange shirt to match the bridge and stand out on the grass — the brighter the better. Arrive no later than 11 am to form a giant “100” on Crissy Field. Be on time to make sure you don’t miss the helicopter flying over at noon.
