Oktoberfest Celebrations Around the Bay 2024

Block parties, outdoor pop-up beer halls, dirndls & some oompah music for when you’re ready to polka.

If there’s anything that makes us feel better about summer coming to an end, it’s Oktoberfest. Yes, the days get shorter… but that just means you have more evening hours to drink delicious beer.

Whether you’re partial to German lagers or California IPAs, the Oktoberfest celebrations all around the Bay will welcome you with open arms, dirndls and maybe even some oompah music for when you’ve had a few pints and are ready to polka.

Oktoberfest 2024

San Francisco Oktoberfest Comedy Festival

Sun-Thu, September 29 – October 3, 2024 – SF’s brand new – very first (and only) Black-owned comedy club (The Function 1414 Market Street) – FREE – Get ready for five nights of laughs, rare oktoberfest beers on tap, and unforgettable performances of top-tier comedians who usually grace the stages of Punchline, Cobb’s, or SF Sketchfest.

September 14, 2024 – Oakland – FREE – Grab your lederhosen and dirndls and get ready for a day filled with classic German brews, delicious food, and traditional music.

SF’s Oktoberfest on Front

September 20, 2024 – SF ( – Celebrate Oktoberfest with the oldest Bavarian Beer Hall in SF at Schroeder’s annual Oktoberfest block party (and the first-ever “Entertainment Zone” event in California history). Schroeder’s turns into a full Hofbrau, serving liter beers, plus beer hall games, live music & DJs, axe throwing, a “pretzel” toss, and traditional live German Polka.

Redwood City Oktoberfest 2024

September 20-22 & 24-29, 2024 – Redwood City – Tickets start at $10 – Dust off your lederhosen and dirndls because it’s time for Redwood City’s tenth annual fall celebration as Courthouse Square transforms into a festive German wunderland with over 2,000 feet of “family style” bench seating, nestled within a Munich-inspired, festive tent of celebration. Expect genuine German dance music, performers, and game hosts on both weekends through September, along with dance contests, stein-holding challenges, yodeling competitions, and hilarious skits with hand gestures to your favorite tunes.

Walnut Creek Oktoberfest 2024

September 27-28, 2024 – Walnut Creek – FREE – The annual 2-day-long, family-friendly event recreates the beloved German fall celebration with live entertainment, music, dancing, a Kinder Platz Kids Zone, gourmet food and dozens of artisan vendors, arts & crafts, and of course, a biergarten with dozens of craft beers and wine, and even a secret chill zone.

Epidemic Ales’ Oktoberfest 2024

September 28, 2024 – Concord – FREE – Don your dirndls and lederhosen for Epidemic Ales’ Oktoberfest and taste special release German style beers, feast on giant turkey legs, brats, & pretzels, play pinball on the patio, and enjoy live bagpipers at 2pm. Finish the night with Karaoke.

2024 Headlands Brewing Oktoberfest

October 4-6, 2024 – Berkele & Lafayette – FREE – Enjoy pretzels, steins of your favorite beer, and live music on Saturday and Sunday. Dressing up in your finest lederhosen or dirndl dresses is highly encouraged.

Trumer Brewery Oktoberfest 2024

October 5, 2024 – Berkeley – FREE – Get ready for a day filled with live German music, traditional German food, and of course, plenty of beer to go around at the Trumer Taproom.

Oaktoberfest by the Beach 2024

October 5, 2024 – SF (Sunset Dist.) – $39 – A festive Oktoberfest celebration takes place in the large bier hall with music, authentic dancing, and stein holding contests.

2024 Piedmont Oktoberfest

October 5, 2024 – Piedmont – Tickets start at $60 – Piedmont Oktoberfes features a biergarten with 8 local breweries offering a range of beer styles from traditional Belgian pilsners to lagers to classic IPAs plus a winte grotto under the rewdwoods. General admission ticket provides entry into the Oktoberfest plus with (5) beer or wine tastings, 1 gourmet sausage, 1 premium pretzel and all the music you can enjoy.
