The 2013 Opening Day on the Bay will once again show off over 100 historic workboats, fireboats, towboats, classic and contemporary craft decorated to the 2013 theme “The Great Race” on April 28, 2013 from noon to 3pm. This marks the official start of the San Francisco 2013 boating season.

Opening Day on the Bay

Crissy Field to Pier 39, SF

The occasion will be a unique opportunity to see these special boats, sailing close to shore where land-based spectators can enjoy the event along SF’s Northern shoreline from Crissy Field, along the Marina Green and to Pier 39.  This is an event for the whole family to enjoy, learn about boating and to get excited for the America’s Cup #34 to be held in San Francisco in 2013.

The Blessing of the Fleet is 11:00 to 12:30 in Raccoon Straight.
