Popular BBQ Joint “Everett & Jones” Opening in SF
Thanks to the San Francisco Chronicle for sharing that Everett & Jones, is set to open a new location at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. The San Francisco Port Commission has approved a lease for the restaurant at 300 Jefferson St., a two-story space that has been vacant since 2020.
The new restaurant will be operated by Dorcia White and her sisters, continuing the family business that began in Oakland in 1973. Everett & Jones previously had a San Francisco location but closed after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. The new 10-year lease includes options for two five-year extensions.
Everett & Jones currently has locations in Oakland’s Laurel District and Jack London Square, with additional restaurants in Berkeley and Rohnert Park managed by other family members. The new Fisherman’s Wharf location will serve the restaurant’s signature smoked brisket, ribs, chicken, and links, along with southern-style sides such as collard greens and baked beans. Seafood options, including grilled oysters, gumbo, and po’boys, may also be available.
Live music, a feature of the Jack London Square location, will be included at the new restaurant. Construction is expected to begin soon, with an anticipated opening in the fall 2025.
