Free Circus Fest in the Park

Sunday Streets Street Festival + Tenderloin Block Party
Sunday, April 10, 2022 / Sunday Streets is back for 2022 monthly mile-long car-free block parties in different neighborhoods from April to October. This month it’s the Tenderloin with poetry, raffles, art activities, hula hooping, a pop-up BMX and skateboard park, Thai New Year celebration and live music.
SF’s Soap Box Derby is Back
Sunday, April 10, 2022 / For the first time since 1978, watch gravity-powered art cars glide down the hills of McLaren Park with prize given for style, not speed.
Pickin’ on the Polk Free Bluegrass Festival

420 on Hippie Hill Festival
Wednesday, April 20, 2022 / Back after a two year break is the annual 420 festival on Hippie Hill in Golden Gate Park, this time with on-site cannabis sales, a special tribute to Robin Williams and Bob Saget, plus a lineup featuring Mike Tyson, Hannibal Buress, Jeff Ross, DJ Shortkut and more.
SF’s Newest Park “Battery Bluff” Opens
Saturday, April 23, 2022 / Not to be confused with the “Tunnel Tops” park opening in July, this new 6-acre park in The Presidio with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge is built on top of the western set of Presidio Parkway tunnels and features access to historic military batteries not seen by the public since 1936.
DogFest
Saturday, April 23, 2022 / A mutt-tastic festival at one of SF’s most dog-friendly parks, Duboce Park, with an openly corrupt dog show
Earth Day Festival
Saturday, April 23, 2022 / Two-block environmental street fair on Valencia St. in the Mission with live music, speakers, eco-workshops, clean energy zone, organic chef showcase and more.
People’s Park 53rd Anniversary Celebration
April 23-24, 2022 / Eclectic mix of live music, speakers and activism at Berkeley’s People’s Park with a block party on Sunday.
“Dining Out for Life” San Francisco 2022
Tuesday, April 26, 2022 / Daylong fundraising events when dozens of San Francisco restaurants donate 25% (or more) of your bill and donate it at San Francisco AIDS Foundation. All you have to do is eat and pay your normal bill. Dining Out for Life does the rest.
Dutch “Kings Day” Windmill Festival in Golden Gate Park
Saturday, April 30, 2022 / Wear orange, the national color of the Netherlands and ride bikes from the tulip gardens through the park and end with a picnic and festival in the shadow of the south windmill with Dutch games, a flea market and traditional Dutch foods.
