SF is Not Yet Following CDC’s New Mask Rules
Although the CDC just announced that fully vaccinated people will no longer be required to wear face masks under most conditions, San Francisco is not yet following the new mask rules.
The San Francisco Department of Public Health has stated that “we must wait for the state to adopt the updated guidelines before making changes to the local health order that we consider safe.”
California’s Department of Public Health did however recently ease up its mask requirements stating that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask outdoors, unless they are in a large crowd like at live sporting events, performances and festivals.
And, Governor Gavin Newsom has said that it will likely eliminate its outdoor mask requirements on June 15, but indoor mask requirements will likely remain, according to KRON4.
