Thanks to SF Chronicle for sharing the unfortunate news that Washington Bakery & Restaurant, located at 733 Washington Street, is sadly shutting its doors on April 23, 2022, after serving San Francisco Chinatown for 27 years.

Washington Bakery & Restaurant specializes in Hong Kong Style cuisine and baked goods with its signature Hong Kong Milk Tea and Sponge Cakes to their popular Wonton Noodle Soups and Baked Rices.

Former Miss San Francisco Chinatown Chelsea Hung recently took over her family’s restaurant which has been a woman-owned business since 1996. If you’d like to pay them a visit before they close, they’re open Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm.
