SF’s New Free “Adaptive Bike Share” Comes to Golden Gate Park

People with physical disabilities now have a free way to have fun in the park every Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm

Take a ride with Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program’s (BORP) adaptive bike share in Golden Gate Park, sponsored by Lyft Bay Wheels. People with mobility-related disabilities can ride on a variety of three-wheelers, hand-cycles and side-by-side tandem bikes

FREE Use of Adaptive Bikes for People with Physical Disabilities.

  • June – November 2021
  • Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
  • Intersection of JFK and Kezar drives in Golden Gate Park

Available Rides: • Upright Handcycle • Recumbent Handcycle • Recumbent Leg Trike • Recumbent Trike Tandem • Side by Side Tandem

Adaptive equipment includes: Supportive Pedals, Seats and Straps, Handpedals for quad level SCI Riders. Hoyer lift and multilevel transfer chairs available.

Parking: Accessible parking located at McLaren Lodge. Near Muni routes 33 and 7. Bikeshare station near Fell and Stanyan.
