Thanks to the SF Chronicle for letting us know that the cult classic House of Prime Rib is finally accepting reservations after a 6 month closure now that limited indoor dining is allowed in San Francisco.

According to the Chronicle, the restaurant (located on Van Ness between Washington and Jackson) will start accepting reservations on October 6th and will open approximately two weeks later, although no official opening date has been announced.

Reservation Update: We checked OpenTable at on 10/6 and again on 10/7 and couldn’t find any dates open for reservations. We don’t know if that’s because it’s all booked out, or because they haven’t opened up any slots yet. You can also call call 1-415-885-4605 for reservations

Why the long delay in reopening? House of Prime Rib says they need time to age their steaks and that it takes 10 days to two weeks to make the base of their salad dressing. Who knew!
