SF’s Huge New ‘Sports Basement’ Opens July 14

Opening soon in the newly renovated wing in Stonestown Galleria in the former Macy’s space

San Francisco is getting a brand new Sports Basement store, taking over the old Macy’s located in the newly-renovated wing of Stonestown Galleria. It’ll mark the 3rd location in The City.

We started out in Mission Bay in 1998. Then in 2003, we moved to our flagship store in the Presidio. Four years later in July of 2007, we opened our Bryant Street store. Now, this San Francisco native is opening our third San Francisco store (and eleventh store total – wowza), right smack dab in the middle of the Sunset! Get ready, because in less than a month you’ll be able to jump on Muni from anywhere in SF and end up at your favorite local sporting goods store.

We’re taking over a massive first-story space in SF’s Stonestown Galleria (that used to be Macy’s), located in the Sunset district off 19th Ave. We’ll be sharing our newly renovated wing with Whole Foods and Regal Cinemas, in the northern section of the mall.

Our doors will open to the public for the first time on Thursday, July 14. Our official grand opening party will be on Saturday, August 21st. Stay tuned for more details – you won’t want to miss it!

Visit the new shop at 3251 20th Avenue, Suite 390 in San Francisco, CA.
