SOMA’s New Park + Secret Oasis Opens This Weekend

A colorful wonderland of living walls, “Kapwa Gardens” opens with free WiFi, food vendors, cocktails and live performances

Once a parking lot, this brand new Filipino-inspired art & wellness pop-up and free garden for the community opened on April 14th and celebrates is grand opening weekend on April 16-17.

Built by 350 volunteers during the depths of the pandemic, Kapwa Gardens is the newest attraction in San Francisco’s Filipino Cultural District, SOMA Pilipinas. Kapwa Gardens a colorful wonderland of living walls, Filipino food vendors, fitness classes, and live performances.

Kapwa Gardens also features free WiFi and invites the community to socially-distantly co-work from the garden or take a mid-day break.
