Break out the green gear. St. Patrick’s Day weekend is taking over the Bay Area. From massive parades and street festivals to lively block parties and pub crawls, the region is going all out with Irish music, dancing, pints of Guinness, and plenty of shamrock-themed fun.

Across the Bay Area, St. Patrick’s Day brings a full weekend of parades, block parties, pub crawls, and Irish-inspired festivities. The centerpiece is San Francisco’s 175th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, marching down Market Street to Civic Center Plaza on March 14 with floats, marching bands, Irish dancers, and a free festival with music, food, and cultural activities afterward. In the East Bay, Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival offers a huge two-day celebration with a parade, live Irish music and dance stages, and hundreds of vendors. Back in San Francisco, the party continues with longtime favorites like the 20th Annual Irish Bank St. Patrick’s Block Party (March 14 and 17), the city’s official downtown bash, St. Pat’s on Front St., and multi-day bar crawls like the massive LepraCon Pub Crawl running March 13 to 17. Whether you’re chasing parades, pounding pints, or perfecting your Irish jig, the Bay Area has all the shamrocks and shenanigans you could want.
