With temperatures rising all across The Bay, you may be looking for a place to cool off and go for a dip. Unfortunately, the vast majority of pools are closed around the Bay Area due to COVID-19, but we’ve found a few places where you can still get in the water.

Pools aren’t yet open for recreational swimming, but if you want to take your fitness regime to the water, we’ve rounded up the best places to swim some laps.

Have we missed any? Let us know and we’ll add any we’ve missed.

Walnut Creek

Walnut Creek’s Clarke Swim Center is an Olympic size, 20 lane lap pool. It’s open for public lap swimming by reservation only. Patrons may use reserved lanes for Lap Swim, Water Exercise, or Water Walking. Unfortunately, space is not available for recreational swimming. Normally, there’s a diving pool with 1 meter springboard and a children’s wading pool, but both are currently closed. Reservations are available one week in advance. Make a reservation.

Concord

The Concord Community Pool is 50 meter/ 25 yard lap pool, heated to a comfortable 80 degrees. Lap Swim is available by registration. Register for a 45 minute lap swim time. Swimmers will be required to adhere to specific requirements. Recreational swimming is not currently offered. Make a reservation.

San Ramon

San Ramon has two public pools that are open for lap swimming by reservation.

San Ramon Olympic Pool
