List of Bay Area Events & Venues Re-Closing Due to COVID Delta

That was fun while it lasted! For a few weeks at least, things were really looking up.

While most everything is wide open and many venues are still opening back up, now with SF’s test positivity at a 15-month high, COVID-related hospitalizations matching  summer 2020, Delta on the rise and a new “Delta Plus” variant found in the Bay Area, a few venues and events are beginning to close down again out of an abundance of caution

• Zeitgeist (SF) has re-closed indoor seating (beer garden still open) – updated 8/5/21

• SF’s Living History Day at Fort Point (August 28) – postponed until 2022 due to delta variant – updated 8/23/21
• Oakland Chinatown StreetFest (Aug. 28-29) – Postponed “until further notice” – updated 8/16/21
• San Francisco Fringe Festival (Sept. 9-18)  at the Exit Theatre – Cancelled – updated 8/11/21
• Taylor Mac’s “Joy & Pandemic“ at Magic Theatre (SF) – Premiere postponed “until a later date” – updated 8/11/21
• Stevie Nicks at BottleRock (Napa) – Nicks cancels tour, but festival still goes on w/ new headliner Chris Stapleton – updated 8/10/21
• Great Dickens Christmas Fair at Cow Palace (Daly City) – Nov-Dec 2021 in person fair canceled  – updated 8/6/21
• Ivy Room (Albany) – Canceled concerts from Aug 5-8 – updated 8/5/21
