SF’s Conservatory of Flowers Free First Tuesdays (Golden Gate Park)
Whether you’re a native San Franciscan, a visitor from the other side of the world, or a budding botanist, the Conservatory of Flowers, located in Golden Gate Park, offers an intimate, up-close experience with nearly 2,000 species of rare, exotic, and endangered plants from more than 50 different countries.
Opened in 1879, the wood and glass greenhouse is the oldest existing conservatory of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
Conservatory of Flowers’ Free Admission Day
First Tuesday of Every Month

FREE for everyoneAdmission is normally free for SF residents ($11 for non-SF residents), but it’s free for all visitors on the first Tuesday of every month.
The Conservatory will also continue offering free or reduced admission through Museums for All, a program to bring free or reduced admission to San Francisco residents who receive public benefits, including Medi-Cal and CalFresh. Plus, there’s free admission for Military & Veterans and children 4 and under.

Tuesday-Sunday – 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Enjoy our winter light show, Photosynthesis, beginning 30 minutes after sunset every night. The show is free to the public and is about 30 minutes long.
