A Berkeley field recording artist hands you professional in-ear monitors wired to broadcast-grade microphones — and you hear the dawn chorus the way a sound engineer does. Every bird in its own frequency layer, the creek underneath, sounds your naked ear physically cannot access. Participants call it “binoculars for your ears.” Dawn chorus is the most acoustically dense moment of the entire year, and this is the only dawn session running this summer. 7 spots.
