  • 4 – 9:30 p.m.: Snacks and treats available for purchase from local non-profit groups. Please consider supporting them at the event.
  • 4 – 8 p.m.: A free game zone coordinated by Discovery Christian Church.
  • 5-8 p.m. Kids’ Market – young entrepreneurs selling their creations.
  • 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.: Live music, coordinated by the Davis Live Music Collective, featuring Rainbow City Park at 6:30 p.m. and RonKat Spearman’s Katdelic  at 8 p.m.
  • 9:35 p.m.: A 15-minute fireworks display.

All attendees are encouraged to ride a bike or walk if possible, as vehicle parking will be limited. The off-leash dog area in Community Park will be closed on July 4. Self-serve bike parking will be available in Community Park, however bike parking may get full quickly. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to pack plenty of water, sunscreen, and a picnic dinner while supporting local non-profit groups by purchasing snacks and treats at the event.

The event is sponsored in part by Dos Coyotes, Discovery Christian Church, and the Davis Live Music Collective.

This year, the City of Davis is partnering with Kids Markets and will be hosting a market for young entrepreneurs. If you know of someone between the ages of 5 and 17 who is interested in participating,  information on how to register for a spot can be found here: https://kidsmarkets.com/markets/davis-2

Other community events being offered on July 4th:

2026 Helen Pool Fourth of July Criterium
The Davis Bike Club’s annual Fourth of July Criterium will feature a day full of bike racing action on a figure-eight course in Downtown Davis, with the start/finish located on Third Street between E & F Streets. Races start at 8 a.m. with the final race starting at 3:40 p.m. There are races for pros, amateurs, juniors, masters, and elite men and women. For more information go to https://davisbikeclub.org/4th-of-july-criterium/

Fireworks and Anxiety

Fireworks can be a source of anxiety for a lot of people, including but not limited to veterans who live with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Fireworks can also cause anxiety for dogs or other pets.

The City of Davis strongly discourages people from bringing dogs to Community Park during the fireworks show.

If you live near Community Park and you think that household members (including four-legged friends) will react to the sound of the fireworks, please prepare for the 15-minute fireworks show that will begin around 9:35 p.m.

Please note that the off leash dog area in Community Park will be closed on the Fourth of July. The dog park area will have additional bike racks for self-serve bike parking. Please remember your locks!
