Elaine will be joined in discussion by MARION ABBOTT and will sign copies of her book after the presentation.

Over a 40-year career at the New York Times she served as Paris Bureau Chief, Central Intelligence Agency Correspondent, United Nations Bureau Chief, and Chief Diplomatic Correspondent. Her books reflect her deep engagement with French culture and her keen observational skills, offering readers a nuanced exploration of the places and societies she writes about. Sciolino was decorated chevalier of the Legion of Honor, the highest honor of the French state, in 2010 for her “special contribution” to the friendship between France and the United States.
