Classic San Francisco Movies: SF Library’s Free Film Festival | 2014
Enjoy free movies all summer long at your neighborhood library during the 3rd Annual San Francisco Library Film Festival. Every movie being screened is either set in San Francisco or was filmed here.
The 2014 edition of this free film festival features San Francisco classics including the amazing car chase scenes of Bullitt, a screening of Milk at the Milk Library, monsters destroying San Francisco in the 1950s in It Came From Beneath the Sea and more.
Free popcorn? Several of the screenings (though none at the Main Library) will have free popcorn.

Escape from Alcatraz | Classic San Francisco Movies: SF Library’s Free Film Festival | 2014Escape from Alcatraz tells the fascinating account based on the true events of the one and only successful escape from the maximum security prison at Alcatraz in 1962.
Frank Morris (Clint Eastwood) and a couple of fellow prisoners break out of Alcatraz. They are never heard from again.
