Nickel’s corrosion-resistant properties have earned it a ubiquitous place in today’s culture. See how nickel and its alloys are applied to everyday lives, including the nickel-metal hydride batteries found in electric and hybrid cars.
It is a preview screening of a new National Geographic series, One Strange Rock that is directed by Darren Aronofsky and hosted by Will Smith. We’ll be showing the first episode of the series and be following it with a panel discussion featuring scientists from Berkeley, Stanford and the Exploratorium to share more about the science in the show. They’ll also have free popcorn and (non-alcoholic) beverages for the audience.
