Event Details

Join us on a hike of the Pioneer Trail for a look at one of California’s old growth redwood groves. Only 5% of Southern Oregon and California’s Old Growth redwood forests still stand today. Years of logging following the discovery of gold in California resulted in the loss of most of the Coast Redwoods original range. Learn how California State Parks works to preserve areas like this, and why the preservation of these forests is so important.
