Free Seasonal Cooking Demo & Tasting | Ferry Plaza Farmers Market

This waterfront market, run by the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA), has over 100 food, fruit, and vegetable vendors on Saturdays and the entire Bay as its beautiful backdrop.

On most Saturdays, free cooking demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.

Paula LeDuc Fine Catering | Free Seasonal Cooking Demo & Tasting | Ferry Plaza Farmers Market

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

Daniel Capra is Executive Chef and David Hurt is Chef de Cuisine at Paula LeDuc Fine Catering. Daniel spent time cooking in Virginia Beach, Washington DC, and New Orleans before moving to San Francisco. He enjoys a bounty of local ingredients, preparing simple dishes that allow key flavors to come forward. He is a fool for butter and duck fat but cooks light and healthfully. He has prepared meals for the likes of President Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Al Gore, Oprah Winfrey, George Lucas, the James Beard Foundation, and HRH Prince Charles. Creating seasonal menus for 10 to 2,000 people is part of his daily routine. Daniel has been a part of the Paula LeDuc team for 12 years, managing a crew of up to 50 chefs, and still enjoys cooking every day.
