San Francisco Fleet Week 2023: Blue Angels + Schedule of Events

Look up in the sky when you hear the roaring of jet engines and head down to SF’s northern waterfront and for San Francisco’s annual Fleet Week airshow and festival which is back in 2023.

Although there is a full week of events, the epochal annual air show takes place October 6-8, 2023 when fans from across the Bay converge on hills, rooftops and all along the waterfront to behold the spectacular taking place over San Francisco Bay between Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.

See the full air show schedule (updated for 2023) – Please note the festival website says “October 2-10” but often there are hardly any events the first two days and the final day except for neighborhood concerts.

Wednesday, OCTOBER 4TH

• Ship Tours – 10am to 4pm – Pier 30/32 Only

Thursday, OCTOBER 5TH

• Ship Tours – 10am to 4pm – Pier 30/32 Only
• Air Show Practice – Typically in the afternoon you’ll hear the Blue Angels buzzing downtown doing practice runs
• Honor Our Fallen Concert – 6pm at Herbst Theater w/ U.S. Marine Corps 1st Marine Division Band – FREE but tix required

Friday, OCTOBER 6TH

• 2023 Air Show – Noon to 4pm on the northern waterfront (Blue Angels 3-4p)
• Parade of Ships– 11a-Noon – watch the fleet enter the Bay under the Golden Gate Bridge
• Humanitarian Assistance Village – 10am on Marina Green
• STEM Center – 10am on Marina Green
• No Ship Tours on Friday

Saturday, OCTOBER 7TH

• 2023 Air Show – Noon to 4pm on the northern waterfront (Blue Angels 3-4p)
• Patriot Jets Team Flyover – Tribute to Diane Feinstein – 12:57pm (2023 Only)
• Humanitarian Assistance Village – 10am on Marina Green
• STEM Center – 10am on Marina Green
• K9 Heroes – 10am to 2pm at Duboce Park – Watch K9 demos including search and rescue and detection
• Ship Tours – 10am to 4pm – Pier 30/32 + Pier 35

Sunday, OCTOBER 8TH

• 2023 Air Show – Noon to 4pm on the northern waterfront (Blue Angels 3-4p)
• Patriot Jets Team Flyover – Tribute to Diane Feinstein – 12:57pm (2023 Only)
• Humanitarian Assistance Village – 10am on Marina Green

Fleet Week Fireworks | San Francisco Fleet Week 2023: Blue Angels + Schedule of Events

Capping off Saturday night of Fleet Week, Pier 39 is hosting a fireworks show off of Pier 3 at 8:30 pm on Saturday, October 11, 2014.

The night unfolds at 6 pm with DJs playing the latest dance tunes at the Bay End of The Pier, followed by dazzling fireworks over the San Francisco Bay at 8:30 pm.

• 12 – 2 pm – The Destroyers from the Navy Band Southwest Performance on the Pier 39 Entrance Plaza Stage
• 12:30 – 3 pm – Air Show
• 3 – 4 pm – US Navy Blue Angels
• 4 – 6 pm – Diablo Road Performance on the Pier 39 Entrance Plaza Stage
• 6 – 8:30 pm – DJ Scotty Fox Spinning at the Bay End of Pier 39
• 6:15 – 6:45 pm – Autographs from Blue Angels Officers near the Pier 39 Entrance Plaza
• 8:30 pm – Fireworks off the Bay End of Pier 39

The fireworks show is part of Pier 39’s October Fireworks happening all month on October 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2014.
