Join KQED and fellow MASTERPIECE fans on Saturday, January 4, for an exclusive preview of the first episode of MASTERPIECE: Sanditon.

When Jane Austen was chronically ill with a mysterious disease in early 1817, she turned her thoughts to a happier subject. She started work on a witty and delightful novel set in a seaside town. She never finished it. Now, noted screenwriter Andrew Davies (War and Peace, Mr. Selfridge, Les Misérables) finishes the story and brings it to the television.

The screening will include a double-feature with the 2005 film adaptation of Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, and Brenda Blethyn.

Space is limited and will fill up quickly. Please RSVP now for you and a guest. RSVP does not guarantee entry. Sandition premieres on MASTERPIECE on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 9 pm on KQED.
