Put on your 1930’s party clothes and help celebrate the opening of A Wild Flight of the Imagination: the Story of the Golden Gate Bridge – a brand new historical exhibit honoring the bridge’s 75th anniversary.
Experience the story of the Bridge through an ambitious exhibition featuring rarely seen works of art, personal letters, photographs, and many artifacts that have never been shown to the public before.

– FREE, RSVP RequestedAt the opening ceremony, kick up your heels to live 1930s music from the Frisky Frolics, get your photo with DecoBelles 1930s dance troupe from the Art Deco Society of California, gather around classic cars parked outside – including some of the very first cars to cross the bridge in 1937 – and toast to a California icon.

Open Tuesdays to Sundays, Noon to 5pm

– FREE ($5 suggested donation)Exhibit highlights include works of art from Ansel Adams, architectural drawings showing original concepts and designs of the bridgethat were never used, original tools, hard hats, telegrams and more. Plus the outside of the building has been painted in International Orange, the exact same paint and color that Sherman Williams’ uses on the Golden Gate Bridge.
