Golden Gate Park Band’s Free Symphony in the Park (2024)
The Golden Gate Park Band presents its 142nd season in Golden Gate Park’s music concourse. That’s right, this 30-piece symphony has been playing free concerts in Golden Gate Park since 1882.
The Golden Gate Park Band pays tribute to Scotland with a program of Scottish music and a dance performance by the Dunsmuir Scottish Dancers.
Dunsmuir Scottish Dancers is a SF Bay Area dance company dedicated to keeping alive the spirit and form of Scottish dances, old and new. Their repertoire spans four centuries of dance tradition. Period costumes and musical stylings bring the past to the present.
