Join us in June for Growing Justice: Cultivating a Just Food System Together
The San Jose Climate Art Network, in collaboration with special guests, invites you to an inspiring evening at Greatful Gardens. This is a great opportunity to learn practical skills, connect with fellow advocates, and deepen your understanding of food justice.
What to Expect:
-
Get creative with our Zine Workshop led by artist and Creative Ambassador Julie Cardenas and get your hands in the soil with a Garden Activity led by Urban Agriculturalist Derek Bryant.
-
Enjoy a casual, no-host supper – a chance to mingle and connect.
-
Learn about the art and tradition of Native tea with a special demonstration by Pomo Activist & Leader Jayden Lim.
-
Participate in a thought-provoking panel discussion on food sovereignty. Cardenas, Lim, and Bryant will be joined by Fernando Fernandez, Policy Director at Veggielution, and “From Soil to Soul” Storyteller Jahnavi Mange.
-
Gain deeper insights with a screening of the film “From Soil to Soul” introduced by Mange.
