Event Details

Join the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, the Port of San Francisco and Golden Gate Audubon Society in our joint stewardship of Heron’s Head Park!

Heron’s Head Park is home to over 100 species of birds and an off-the grid sustainable learning center. Join us every 1st Wednesday of the month and learn about the EcoCenter and Park’s robust ecosystem. Volunteer tasks include non-native invasive plant removal, mulch application, watering and planting (seasonally). Come prepared with closed-toe shoes and dress in layers. No experience necessary. Tools are provided. Meet in front of the EcoCenter, in the middle of the nature play area.

If you are registering to volunteer within 24 hours prior to the workday, please contact Jadd Correia at 415-244-2548.
