Hike It Up: Lombard St., Great Views & Fillmore Jazz Festival | SF

Join in to Hike It Up on a 6-mile walk to the Fillmore Jazz Festival on Saturday June 30, 2018.

Meet outside in front of Gott’s Restaurant at the Ferry Building. Then the group will proceed along the Embarcadero to the Filbert Steps, the stairs are impressive for their length, their wonderful views of San Francisco, the well tended gardens on either side and the beautiful art deco buildings along the way. One of the most spectacular buildings features three-story high reliefs of San Francisco.

Nearby are the equally amazing Greenwich Street Stairs too. Afterwards, they’ll check out the murals at Coit Tower.

From there, they’ll walk to Russian Hill, a quaint, upscale residential community known for the famously crooked Lombard Street, a major tourist destination. The iconic San Francisco cable cars crest the neighborhood’s hills, which provide views of a number of city landmarks including the Golden Gate and Bay bridges.

From there, they’ll stroll across the city taking in the breathtaking views along Broadway. This is a fabulous amount of up. It is also a lot of city streets walking. They’ll end up at the Fillmore Jazz Festival. They have beer gardens there. Oh…and jazz.

This is an A to B walk, so the group won’t be going back to Embarcadero together.

• Recommended Clothing: As you know, as you walk SF, you will experience every microclimate possible.
• Recommended Food: Bring water.
• Cancellation Condition: If it rains sideways, but even so, they would just look for rainbows.
• Dogs Allowed: No
