Take part in a long-standing Japanese tradition of striking a giant temple bell to leave behind any unfortunate experiences, regrettable deeds and ill luck of the previous year and herald a joyous New Year.
Once a year, guests of the Asian Art Museum can a swing at the giant 2,100-pound, 16th-century Japanese temple bell.
Arrive Early to Ring the Bell
Pick up first come, first served tickets to ring the bell at the admission desk. To ensure you have a chance to ring the bell, it is recommended that you arrive at Samsung Hall no later than Noon. Asian Art Museum members can gain early admission.> More Info on the Bell Ringing Ceremony
