Event Details

The 86 year old auteur joins us for a rare Bay Area appearance to discuss his new memoir, The Patagonian Hare, the making of his seminal film Shoah, and his enduring views of the Holocaust.

Born in Paris in 1925, Claude Lanzmann survived the German occupation of France, fought with the French Resistance during World War II and has long been the editor of Les Temps Modernes, Jean Paul Sartre’s political-literary journal.

Advanced reservations are required at 415-292-1233 or Arts@jccsf.org. Catch the free screening of Shoah on February 5th, 2012.
