Magic Makers: Queer Art, Craft & Healing Fair | Oakland
Magic Makers is an intentional space of celebration of a queer art & crafting community centered on political and social awareness, a diversity of artists and vendors, and resistance to cultural appropriation in craft show trends.
Magic Makers: Queer Art, Craft & Healing Fair
Saturday & Sunday, December 9-10, 2017 | 12 PM– 6 PM
The Humanist Hall, 390 27th St., Oakland, CA
From 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm they would like to prioritize making the space accessible for people with disabilities including chemical sensitivities, and ask that all other attendees come after 1:00pm if possible. Each day of the fair will feature an entirely different roster of vendors, healers, and food makers.
This year’s event features more than 50 vendors offering visual art, jewelry and accessories, herbal blends and tinctures, clothing, books and zines, body care products, and more. In addition to vendor tables, Magic Makers also provides a healing space that features bodywork, acupuncture, massage, and tarot readers. Food and beverages handcrafted by local queer chefs and bartenders will provide nourishment. Donations collected at the door will go to Peacock Rebellion and the Sogoreate Land Trust. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
