Events at Omnivore Books On Food
Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
Join Peggy Wolff, Elizabeth Berg, Phyllis Florin for Fried Walleye and Cherry Pie: Midwestern Writers on Food from 6:30-7:30 pm on March 5, 2014.
The volume brings to the table an illustrious gathering of thirty Midwestern writers with something to say about the gustatory pleasures and peculiarities of the region. Join editor Peggy Wollf and two contributors, including celebrated novelist Elizabeth Berg, who meditates on comfort food by recalling her aunt’s meatloaf.
This event is free with snacks from the great Midwest.
