About the Podcast
Nerd Rage The Great Debates Is a weekly podcast released by the Komedio Comedy network. The moderator Marc Abrigo challenges the Komedio stand up team and friends, to take sides and square off to settle some of geekdom’s hottest (and often times, weirdest) debates: how many muscle cars does Vin Diesel need to beat Captain America? Is Steven Universe a better frontman than Super Mario? And just what the hell will a lightsaber accomplish in the world of the Matrix?
The live show of Nerd Rage is a improvised debate game show with audience suggested topics. Nerd Rage: The Great Debates Has held live shows multiple years at Silicon Valley Comic Con, San Francisco Comic Con, GenCon in Indiana, in 2017 we performed in the Cinder Block Comedy Festival in Brooklyn, and did a double feature with sketch group Chardonnay with SF Sketchfest in 2018. Local comedians pair up with Nerd Rage regular roster debaters at live shows across the country.
Most recently at the Minnesota Fringe Festival we held four shows full of local and visiting writers and actors. In Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, Emmett Montgomery, Sally Jordan, Bobby Higgley and Patrick Tomlinson each paired up with Nerd Rage all stars. Previous years guests include Mike Drucker at Silicon Valley 2016, Jackie Kashian at San Francisco Comic Con in 2017 and Ben Harrison from the Greatest Generation Podcast.
