Final Show of 2013 | CANCELED: “Nightlife on Mars” Comedy Night | SF

Last Show of 2013 | Thursday, 11/21:

Casey Ley – Casey is a San Francisco-based comedian. He hears this a lot: “Hey, you’re that funny gay comic, aren’t you?” He hopes that, soon, people will recognize him as just a funny black comic. Casey’s been featured in festivals like SXSW, Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, OR and the Moontower Comedy Festival in Austin, TX. He is the host and creator of the popular San Francisco show “This Feels Wrong” and a weekly comedy game show called “Mayhem Trivia.” His comedy has appeared on NPR and he was voted the Bay Area’s best comic by readers of SF Weekly in 2012.

Ryan Papazian – Ryan is a stand up comedian that hails from Orange County, California. Ryan began his comedy career when he was 18 at an open mic at the Hollywood Improv in 2008. Soon after, he started grinding all over southern California. In summer 2011, he moved up to San Francisco. He has performed numerous times in comedy clubs in California. His persona can be described as the angst and vibrancy of a 7th grader combined with mindset of an old ship captain. His hilarious frustration and defeated demeanor with unruly audiences have made him a favorite among hecklers.

Kevin O’Shea – Established in 1984 following the mergers of Steven and Cathy O’Shea, Kevin O’Shea has been one of San Francisco’s leading manufacturers of mirth, laughter, hilarity and all around good times. Kevin has been commonly described as clever, absurd, awkward, but in a funny way and too smart for his own good. He has been seen on the Independent Film Chanel and ComedyCentral.com. He was featured as one of the “30 Under 30: Comedians You Should Watch” by Splashlife and Funny or Die. He is a favorite of comedy festivals such as: The SF Sketch Fest, The Burrito and Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. Go see him now as his 4th quarter productivity has never been higher.

Jason Mack – Jason’s fresh, witty writing and charmingly awkward personality have made him a rising star in Northern California’s comedy scene. His adjustment from service as a United States Naval Aircrewman into life as a struggling college student, in the “slightly less conservative” city of San Francisco, further shaped his dry, biting, and dark, but silly comic voice. His subjects vary from navigating the broken Veterans Affairs Health Care system to his father being an alcoholic woodland mammal. He produces many successful shows, including the “Operation: Funny” tour benefiting fellow veterans. He’s been showcased from coast to coast, including such famous basements as San Francisco’s Purple Onion and NYC’s Gotham Comedy Club.

Josef Anolin – Josef was born and raised in Oakland, CA thanks to his parents. Josef likes to tell jokes that offer audiences fresh perspectives on “hot button” issues like race, class, gender that are simultaneously respectful and tounge in cheek offensive. Josef has been peddling his humor to audiences throughout the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii and may have been the first comedian to do a joke about NY Knicks Point Guard, Jeremy Lin (albeit back in 2010 when he was still a Golden State Warrior and irrelevant).
