Mountain View | On-the-Water Viewing of July 4th Fireworks at Shoreline Lake | 2023

On Tuesday, July 4, 2023 the Boathouse & American Bistro at Shoreline Lake in Mountain View will, once again, provide the most unique way to enjoy the fireworks in Silicon Valley – from a pedalboat, rowboat, canoe or kayak, in the middle of the Lake, with friends and family – and the best view of the Shoreline Amphitheatre fireworks show from anywhere in the Park or City limits.

Fireworks viewing on the grounds is free. Viewing from the water, requires reserving a vessel which you can bring yourself or rent (https://shorelinelake.com/amilia.html).

As a nature preserve within the heart of Silicon Valley, Shoreline Lake offers a true respite, and a variety of different activities, that make for great Independence Day experiences away from the surrounding, and hectic, urban landscape. To accommodate the influx of park goers – seeking to picnic by the water’s edge, partake of the American Bistro’s special Fourth of July BBQ, and enjoy all of the other water- and land-based festivities available that day – hours will be extended past regular Park hours for both the Bistro (8am-10:30pm) and Boathouse (10am-8:30pm, fireworks rentals from 9pm-10:15pm).

Like last year’s revival of this popular family-friendly tradition, 2023’s viewing is expected to continue being a hit with Shoreline Lake visitors. (The Boathouse opened reservations early for the fireworks-dedicated watercraft rentals, given the number of requests this year.)
