Quidditch Match: SF Argonauts vs SLC Hive | Sunset Dist.

Come watch the Major League Quidditch match as the SF Argonauts take on the Salt Lake City Hive in the Sunset District at 2 pm on June 4, 2016.

Quidditch has its roots in the fictional Harry Potter sport of the same name. To denote the difference, the fictional sport uses the capitalised “Quidditch” whereas the sport played as per the IQA rules uses the uncapitalised “quidditch”.

Major League Quidditch (MLQ) is a national league that runs from June 1 to August 30. Their aim at MLQ is to present quidditch in an elegant, highly-consumable form that mirrors other sports’ top leagues. MLQ features standardized schedules, high-level officiating, in-depth statistics and live or pre-recorded footage of all games. The central tenant of the league, setting it apart from others, is that we have placed a limit on participating teams. This ensures the teams are of a high quality and maximizes the amount of coverage that can be given to each team and each game.
