2018 Stern Grove Festival | June 17 – August 19

The Stern Grove Festival returns for its 81st season having presented free concerts in the park every summer since 1938.

If you don’t mind arriving early to spread out your blanket to stake your spot, it’s an excellent way to spend a relaxing Sunday in a beautiful park setting watching free performances from top touring acts and local institutions like the San Francisco Ballet.

The San Francisco Symphony (SFS) returns for its annual free summer performance at the Stern Grove Festival.

Since its inaugural concert in 1938, the San Francisco Symphony has graced the Festival stage offering world-class performances every year for free to the public. An Emmy Award and multi-GRAMMY Award winning orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony is led by Musical Director Michael Tilson Thomas.
