Sequoia Nursery School 75th Anniversary & Fun-Filled Carnival (Oakland)

– Sequoia Nursery School, one of Oakland’s first and most beloved early childhood education institutions, is celebrating 75 fun-filled years of operation. The nonprofit cooperative preschool was founded in the 1947-48 school year and has operated out of the City of Oakland’s historic Sequoia Lodge since it was built in the 1960s. Designed by architect Walter Thomas Brooks, the mid-century building was paid for in part by Sequoia Nursery School, a gift to the Oakland community that’s often used as a venue for weddings and other special events.

Sequoia Nursery School invites families with preschool aged children to join the celebration and attend its 75th Birthday Spring Carnival on Saturday, May 6^th from 11:00am – 3:00pm. Admission is free and tickets are limited. https://sequoiaspringcarnival.eventbrite.com
