SF Gay Men’s Chorus: Home for the Holidays at The Castro Theatre (2022)

This December, San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus rings in the holiday season with its Christmas Eve tradition of over 30 years, Holiday Spectacular: Home for the Holidays – returning to the iconic Castro Theatre for the first time in three years.

‘Tis the season for the warm, familiar traditions of years gone by – and for resolutions new and audacious. There will be holiday favorites, including Jingle Bells and I’ll Be Home for Christmas, classical choral works—including Sure on this Shining Night, and unexpected originals, including a holiday-themed Cher medley…yes, that Cher!

The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus was one of the first of its kind and was the first to include “gay” unapologetically in its name. Fighting against discrimination and bigotry while losing countless loved ones to the AIDS epidemic, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus not only persevered themselves, but they inspired an LGBTQ+ choral movement worldwide.
