SF Transit Week 2019 | Sept. 7-13

Come out to Transit Week, a celebration of public transportation put on by the San Francisco Transit Riders. It kicks off Monday, Sept. 9th and features lots of transit-oriented programming and activities through Friday, Sept. 13th.

Capping off Transit Week with the second annual Rider First Awards Party. Help celebrate some of the people who are putting riders, and transit, first. These are people who have stepped up to make sure Muni keeps improving serve riders better, and to serve more riders.

The Rider First Committee is pleased to announce the winners, including:

• West Portal transit priority pilot project, to improve light rail service
• Free Muni to Chase Center event, provided by the Golden State Warriors
• 27 Bryant improvement project, for outstanding outreach and rider-informed route redesign
• T Third Bus Substitution sign graphics, for readable, visible, helpful, and clear signage
• A successfully supported new contract for Muni Operators, by they Transport Workers Union 250A for successfully passing a new contract to improve conditions for operators and keep riders moving
