Local music fans are gearing up for warm weather and smooth sounds with the arrival of SFJazz Summerfest at the Stanford Shopping Center.

Internationally recognized for his pioneering work in the John McLaughlin Trio and the super-jamband Garaj Mahal, bassist Kai Eckhardt presents his latest project, Zeitgeist. This exciting new band is made up of an international cast of virtuosos and fuses the virtuoso jazz-funk grooves of Eckhardt’s compositions with poetry to inspire the mind and move the body

The ten-week concert series is hosted by Stanford Shopping Center and produced by SFJAZZ, a leading non-profit jazz organization on the West Coast .
