The Matrix U.S. Premiere in San Francisco

Saturday, December 18, 2021 | 5:30pm
Castro Street (btwn Market and 18th St.)
Free but space is very limited.

Watch the livestream of the U.S. Premiere live starting at 5:30pm

Can I get tickets to the screening?

Unfortunately movie passes were not  available to the general public.

Giant Red Pill + Castro Street Shut to Traffic

This is a big production and Castro is shut to Traffic from Market to 18th Street with a giant inflatable red pill right in front of the theater (sadly it’s product placement with a Mercedes inside the pill) but it still looks cool. There is also a stage set up in front of the theater.

Where’s the “Fan Zone” For Watching the Stars?

There will be a fan zone set up but it’s not for the general public. Fan zone spots are limited to invited guests who were part of organizations that helped out with production.

There might be limited space across the street for the general public so you can catch a glimpse of some of the stars walking the green carpet but we don’t know how much space there will be or how good of a view you’ll have.

Anticipation has been building for The Matrix Resurrections which was filmed over 21 days in San Francisco in 2020.

Check out the scenes featuring Keanu Reeves’ Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss’ Trinity going down the rabbit hole in our favorite city.
