It’s been five years since JFK Promenade was closed to cars and opened to people! Come celebrate this safe, car-free space on Sunday, April 27 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM.
Do you love JFK Promenade? Then join Walk SF, partners, and friends at an afternoon picnic to enjoy this wonderful space together!
What: Meet friends or make new ones at this lovefest of JFK Promenade. Besides family-friendly activities and lawn games, we have extra fun planned this year:
- 12:30: History of Car-Free Spaces in Golden Gate Park with Nancy Botkin
- 1:30: Drag Queen Story Hour
- 2:30: Shout-Outs, Special Guests & Raffle
When: Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 12:00 – 3:00PM
Where: Peacock Meadow right off of JFK Promenade
Bring: A picnic and blanket. Please pack it in and pack it out to minimize waste.
Who: Anyone and everyone who loves the JFK Promenade!
Accessibility: Within a block, there are 3 ADA spots at McLaren Lodge and 4 where Nancy Pelosi Dr meets JFK Promenade. The large, free surface ADA lot behind the Music Concourse has direct pickup for the free shuttle to Peacock Meadow. More from Rec and Park.
Bike parking: Provided onsite by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
Walk San Francisco is hosting the celebration, with partners the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, KidSafe SF, Church of 8 Wheels, and San Francisco Recreation & Park Department.
